Topping Cucumbers?

I started my cucumbers indoors. I just planted out & my concern is that the top 8" or so is nothing but flowers.
I've picked some off but I'm wondering if I should top the plants to produce more leaves.
Thoughts?

Since you shouted, I did as you suggested.
I picked 20-25 lbs every other day for about 6 weeks! (9 plants)
Since it rained the other day it was 3 days since I picked.
40 LBS.!!!!!
They're still producing but I'll have to kill the plants. (I'm losing friends lol)

Just for the record next year, try topping and not topping to see which will give more yield.

Where I'm from, you're better off with unlocked car doors than locked.

A towing company in my building did the same thing. Less damage when they get the car back or whatever.
