Hi everyone,
My late father planted a Tanyosho Pine a while back, not sure when exactly, but maybe 15 to 20 years. I'm taking care of it now and I'm wondering if there's anyway to reduce the size of the ball on top? It's right next to our driveway and it always seem to be in the way when people are getting out of their cars.
I've read that you can't cut them back to bare wood, so not sure what my options are. Maybe it would be easier to dig it up and move it over a few feet. Would I be able to do that in spring or would I have to wait until fall?
Thanks for any advice. Here's a couple pics.
