@DeborahJane Freesias are fantastic perfumer.. and you canna may give you some pleasant sweet surprises as well. Like those big fat leaves with a wonderful edge to them. A bit of draping ivy or aubretia will not harm the harmony ..

Thanks for the idea of the aubretia alp. I looked it up and the splash of purple would be great.

Yes Beverly. We've had one month of spring and my garden is coming up nicely. Just started getting stuck into it again after the rain and cold. The blossom is very pretty.
