Anyone use Sunshine 4?

Soil is giving me fits. We finally getting enough rain to be just inconvenient.

Some outside plants are holding water and some are drying out fast.

My Tomatoes were all wilted found the soil dry. Fresh planted Strawberries are wet.

I am using some organic fertilizer.

Notice something else.

When you water Sunshine 4 bunch of Perlite comes to the top, making a layer of Perlite on top.

I'm wondering if this will help with Gnats?

Well I've been using Happy Frog and it does well but it can cost.

Lowes in town has Sunshine 4 6 cu. ft. For $35 it needs Nutes I've been mixing Rainbow Mix Pro in. Only problem I really have is figuring out the water.

Grow Shop says it is basically like Pro Mix. Which I can't find local.

Lowes here doesn't sell it. I've never heard of it. Walmart here sells a ProMix but I cant remember which one. It is out in the parking lot.

Rethinking I already go to my Grow Shop 60 miles away for fertilizer might as well get Pro Mix.

It is a little higher and have to drive but.

All together drop $330.

My Son says I change my mind too much.

Reconsidering after watering and looking today. So more thinking.

Think I will stick with Sunshine 4.

Mind is back on Sunshine 4.

I was thinking had Tomatoes in small pots. Soil was damp for the whole time but plants were doing well.

Strawberry bed was wet and took a long time to dry out but Strawberries looked good.

Guy told me I was thinking wrong. The plants are actually moist not wet, which means less watering.

Thinking about mixing Organic Fertilizer and Worm Castings in it.

Been using Happy Frog guy said mix Perlite in it. I call the company and asked them? Oh yeah put some Perlite in it that will make it much better.

??? I'm like why don't you do this?

Had heck of weekend. Had two Grow Lights quit this will make 3 from this company. They have no problem sending another light but I'm threw dealing with them. Like to be done with them. Probably have to cut my losses and go.

No experience with Sunshine 4 but using organic fertilizer is always a good idea. If you haven't already try top dressing the area with some compost/mulch.
