So, I finally have some photos from the garden. I took them with my new phone and then couldn't get them loaded, but I was able to post them to Facebook and share via the url.

In the blue planter in the foreground is batface cuphea, penstemon, blue daze and lavender. Behind it on the left is crocosmia; in the black pot in the background is forsythia, the blue planter on the right has angelonia and calibarachoa.

WOW! Can you tell me what the bottom 2 plants are? I have never seen anything like them, and they are pretty!

Also, I see that you have sunk a flower pot into one tub, and have saucers on the top of others. Is that to make it easier to water?

I am afraid this spring was so cool and wet that the potted plants on my own deck looked rather ill, and that was before my little dog found out that there was a lizard (a blue tailed skink) living among the pots. If I am not alert he tips them over trying to get that lizard! He is finishing off what Mother Nature began!

What an amazing collection of plants you got right there =D I don't even know half of those plants! Very nice job, My favorite one is the Acidanthera. :) Is it grown from seed or it produces bulbs?

Your garden is lovely. This spring was so wet and cool I didn't get started with a garden even in containers. Looking at yours now I wish I had planted something.

All lovely ChannelG. I, too, have a shrimp plant, fascinating aren't they? Love the Texas Star Hibiscus and as for your Meyer Lemon, so small and yet so abundant. My lemon tree is big now about 2 1/2 meters but has given me in all 3 lemons. I'm happy for you, just a bit envious.:)

Yup, lol! That shrimp plant is a standard, and it's so full and top heavy it can't stand up without support! I had been eyeing it for weeks at work as it was a bargain compared to smaller plants we had. This couple almost bought it and that helped me make up my mind once and for all.

Thanks! Do you mean the acidanthera and Texas star? The names are above each photo.

The clay saucers are atop terra cotta pots which have corks stopping up the bottom holes. These are homemade ollas I created to help keep the soil moist to cut down on the need to water. The plastic pot is a placeholder for a terra cotta one, I just haven't gotten around to putting it in.

I have a feral cat that used to knock stuff over; he's much better about it now.

It was grown from a bulb I purchased at the dollar store! It's also been the best growing of all the bulbs, though I did plant them late. It's supposed to have a scent, but I must not go outside at the right time. I would definitely plant more bulbs if I could find them.

The Texas star is amazing! We just got them in at work in the white and I'm trying to resist, lol, but I know it's inevitable. The best thing about them is that they are hardy and won't freeze! It's challenging to keep them moist, though.

Is it usually wet where you are Pat? There are a number of plants that like high moisture (like the Texas star). It rains so much here the biggest problem I have in spring is all the snails eating everything. You should look into what native plants in your area like moisture.

It might sound crazy, but even tough I iddn't know the plant, I kinda suspected it was a bulb. I've an eye for this kind of things :) Very beautiful and good job :(y)
