A very useful post from Chuck some time ago, changed my view on epsom salts in the garden.
Whilst I had been taught of its useful levels of magnesium in the greening process of lacklustre plants, he stated that ES was good for all nutrient take-up.
I was re-evaluating that post recently & decided to research sulphur a bit more, as I thought its main uses were anti-fungal & lowering pH.
It seems now that Chuck's knowledge is being more & more recognised & that sulphur's importance in the garden, especially with, but not limited to, fruit & veg is quickly growing.
So if you can get a decent NPK fertiliser, especially an organic one. & supplement that with ES, you will see benefit for it.
If you are fortunate enough to have access to fertilisers complete with their own sulphur, seaweed for example, then since that also has significant magnesium, or woodash, then you can add those to your growing medium & along with nitrogen from nettles, comfrey, or manure, you have a balanced yet optimal plant fertiliser.
Thanks Chuck, you've shown your value to this forum again.

I'm waiting on some Organic Fertilizer.

As far as Sulfur got some for my Blueberries.

My PH is all over the place I've come to the point they get what they get. If a problem shows up deal with it.

Once upon a time i abandoned a garden because pyralids were a new herbicide problem and had made their way into the black kow compost I put into my garden. I bought 25 7 gallon grow bags and put new tomatoes in them while simply neglecting the original garden. I used magnesium sulphate in the bags and nothing, not even npk, on the poisoned garden. At the end of the season I tasted a celebrity from the original abandoned garden to compare to the celebrity tomatoes I grew in the grow bags. The sulfur makes a huge flavor difference. The neglected toms were cardboard in comparison to the grow bag tomatoes. Sulfur enhances flavor, and can be used with pH offsetting liming agents like magnesium, but it is also possible to use gypsum should that be better for your soil.
