Hello everyone! This is my first post. Excited to join this community. I am looking for suggestions for a tall indoor tree, to go in either of the corners shown in the photo. The windows are west-facing and get afternoon sun. The plant would not be in direct sunlight but have a decent amount of indirect light.

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

Yes, Dracaena can be a good choice, such as the various cultivars of Corn-plant (Dracaena fragrans) or Madagascar Dragon Tree (Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia). Also, tropical Yucca (Yucca gigantea, formerly Yucca elephantipes) has a similar appearance.

Palms, such as a Kentia palm (Howea forsteriana) or one of the many Chamaedorea spp.

For a branched 'dicot' tree, tropical figs (Ficus) are the most popular. There are many to choose from.
Some particularly good ones are Fiddle-leaf Fig (Ficus lyrata), (Ficus elastica), and Banana-leaf Fig (Ficus maclellandii 'Alii')

There are other possibilities, but these are some of the most widely used.
