I know its fall when my 2 star fish plants start to bloom, The big one I keep as far away from the house as I can, it stinks and draws lots of flies, the little one just flowers all fall or until I bring it in the house and doesn't smell or draw flies

They look so unique and exotic! Plants like those don't grow in my area.
Star fish is a really nice and funny name for a plant:D

You can grow them as a house plant, there are many of these plants that flower and don't smell.

Amazing plants! So those star fish plants tend to stink? It's such a shame, I'd love to grow a plan like that one, but I don't need help to attract flies :) Beautiful shots though, I had no idea such a plant existed.

Trellum, Not all star fish flower stink, its the large one that do. I won't bring it in the house until it stops blooming unless its starts to get to cold for it at night then I just cut off all the buds.

Deborahjane, The best part of this flowing is if your lucky to be close when it starts to open you can hear it pop as it opens, mine takes about 3 weeks from the time it sets buds to open but its worth it.
