Going to fry up these male only blooms later today along with chicken tenders and waffles. Went out to do some match making, but not a female in the mix. Life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

yes would love to get some. are you going to stuff them first. then roll them in an egg batter to fry up?

just going to fry them like in a recipe I found on bonappetit. Light batter, as a starter. Might stuff some later in the season. My squash may never produce well on the squash (so far only one), but at least the blossoms can be the consolation prize.

I picked up a couple of calabacita type zucchini sets yesterday that are very popular in Mexico. Want to have a chance for some extended production of the flowers at least. These blooms get stuffed and fried in Mexico or made into quesadillas.

there is always the threat of frost before Mother's day here, so after I will go check out and see if the Amish nursery has a few ready to go. have to find a good sunny spot for them, that's another issue on my shaded property. But be honest, I will go for rice flour for them. Have used rice flour before, its more delicate a coating than regular flour.
