Hello,
I'm opening this thread to ask you guys help for my avocado plant.
I had in the past already talked about it here in the forum (https://www.gardening-forums.com/threads/avocado-hass-pruning.30588/#post-264103) and the plant did fine all spring, then summer came and with it I had to go to vacation.
So I bought a tool to auto water all my plants when I was away, filled a tank with 50L of water, set-up the system and left (I did try it before leaving and it worked fine) all my plants were put inside and I set the system to water them each 4 days, giving them between 100/300 ml of water according to the size of the pots.
Actually the system worked fine, but the plants for some reason we're not able to drink all water in those 4 days gap so they ended up being too wet and a couple of them flooded into the kitchen.
Not a big deal, few of them were about to be harvested on my return anyway and the more important ones are still fine now drying outside under the sun with minimal damage, but my avocado isn't so we'll.
As you can see from before it had 2 side branches and the central trunk with some leaves, those burned all and the branches turned brown.
I had to cut entirely one of the 2 on the side, while the second I cut at the middle (until the brown part finished) plus the top I only cut the tip with the burned leaves and put it also outside to dry.
After few days it is starting to browning again on the left side branch and the tip is dry, not sure what I can do now to help it stabilize, the ground is still wet maybe I have to change it for a new and dry one but before doing anything I wanted to ask your opinion, I'll leave some photos as reference.
Thank you for the support, it's much appreciated.

I think it's just not worth fooling with and probably, ( more than likely, actually) is too far gone. Soggy roots are not compatible with avocado trees.

Buy an avocado, put toothpicks in the pit on three sides, suspend it over the water in a glass, in bright light and it will start rooting in no time. I had plants almost the size of yours in a year. And, it only cost me 78¢.
