Good evening all,

I am building large troughs to place in my greenhouse, really just for growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumber etc. What type of soiled should I use? Is top soil alone a ok choice?

cheers

We usually use Jacks Magic compost for those crops Stephen. Soil in the garden is ok, but there are usually a few bugs and weed seeds in it. The compost has a seaweed feed in it and gives your plants a good start. As they grow a bit bigger we usually top up with diluted seaweed feed weekly.

18 inches would be champion - but bear in mind Jacks Magic is about £5 for 50 litres.
