Peace perfect peace

Greetings to one and all,
Well it's the end of a very nice day for us,
Ive enjoyed the continued border work "But" something i forgot to mention and nearly at my own cost,

Ive a small smoker, One of those that looks like a small barrel on wheels,
It has at one end the fire box and next to this is the place for the wire racking and then the metal flue,

Well at about 3pm i lit the fire box with wood and let it warm up and then put this chicken in closed down the air vents and left it to slowly smoke,

Well about 3 hours later i noticed the smoke just softly whispering out of the flue,
I opened the oven box and the smell really is nice,
If you've not got a smoker its worth thinking about trying one,
They're not hard to make and its a project ive thought of doing many times (one for the burner)

I'll sleep well tonight and im hoping my back with join me (its been giving me that stiff feeling all day)

I saw the old man and his donkey pulling his old cart this morning, Its nice to see these old ways and the people around her have'nt been far in the world
infact so im told a lot never venture more than the next big town,

Time for a poem,

Goodbye old Tom, the laughs on us.:D
Well it's goodbye to old farmer Tom,
His life clocks stopped and failed to run,

He was a countryman through and through, the kind that would talk to anyone, Including strangers like you.

He always dressed the same, Some say the war was to blame
Those Germans let bombs fall from the sky all landing on his farm,
"But he never knew why".

He always said as you gave him a free meal, "Ive got Gods free air and friends like you,
Then he'd say is there anymore stew?

Yes we all felt very sorry for poor old Tom,
Who's now left us for that Mansion up there,

But he's had the last laugh
We've just been told he died a multi millionaire.

By Daniel Seamingway.

Good night folks.

Across the south in the states smoking, grilling, bbq is almost(in some areas is) a rite of passage. While at the same time you will not be known as great until you are 40 or so years old.

Had to try the kettle out with the kiln shelves gizmo for indirect cooking. It worked really well. I put the white meat on the kamado smoker.

It was a football Saturday so naturally munchies were in order.

I really need to refurbish the egg. My brother found it on craiglist and gave it to me to "share" his kamodo cooking hobby.
