Small white bugs and possible eggs identification

We just noticed these small bugs in the soil of 2 of our string of pearls (redish/orange background).

And then we saw many of these small white bugs and what looks like eggs in soil and just on the base of our largest ponytail palm.

Do you know what they are? How can we get rid of them safely for the plant? Or do we even need to? I've heard there is one type of bug in the soil that can be ignored.

They look like springtails, and they will eat up all the rubbish (if I`m right) shouldn`t cause you too much bother

Thanks, any thoughts on the "eggs". I took another photo that kind of shows it a bit better (this is actually a second cluster). I ended up re-potting the plant yesterday. We tried to remove all the eggs/white clusters and we noticed there were tonnes of them in the soil too and it smelled really bad.

We think that`s a fungus which would account for the smell. Repotting the plants is the right thing to do. You might like to add a natural fungicide to the mix, such as cinnamon or sulphur.
Make sure you add grit or similar to aid drainage in your plants as well.
