I've been finding these small whitish slug-like bugs all over my lawn in the evening after I water. Does anyone have an idea what they are? I've also found some leather jacks that I will be dealing with separately so I know it's not them

I wanted to add a picture of them but I can't see how I can attach something to this post

That looks a lot like a cocoon of the armyworm or lawn grub. The cacoons are filled with eggs which will hatch into army worm which will pupate into a moth and the circle starts all over again

Ugh yuck! I cant stand bugs. Those look like it could puppa from grubs, but not 100% certain. Do you have any dry patches in your yard? You may want to get some grub killer that kills in 24 hours and then apply a scotts grubX.
