Small rusty spots on Hass avocado leaves

I just noticed these rusty looking blotches on the leaves, would anyone be able to identify the cause and whether it's contagious? I'm not sure if these are thrips either, I've heard they tend to effect the fruit more often than the leaves. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
