Small Iris Festival

I went to a smaller iris festival closer to where I lived - I had planned to go to a bigger one but time and money got in the way! That's life I guess!

But as always I like to give you a bit of a glimpse into my life here in Japan - here's a snap I took on my phone of part of the festival! I love irises!

I love, love, love these variegated purple iris! They have them planted at the bank at the corner of my street, and I pretty much obstruct traffic every time I turn that corner. (Sigh...someday...)

Definitely a favorite of mine, too! Ever since I was a child and we had them growing in our yard!

I love the colors of those irises, they're absolutely beautiful! Light blue and pink are my favorite.
