Shampoo Ginger (Zingiber zerumbet) is indeed a ginger both beautiful and useful. Its aromatic, floral fluid has likely been used by man since prehistoric times. Though known to many as Awapuhi, its Hawaiian name; Z. zerumbet is actually native to parts of southern and southeastern Asia, as well as possibly Taiwan, the Philippines, and Borneo.
