We currently do not get the sun we're our current furniture on the paving stones. I am struggling for ideas on we could create an additional area in the garden that won't cost a fortune. Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome!

In my experience, nothing much is inexpensive when it comes to gardens.
Compared with our own, you have a long garden. It would be easy enough to create another paved area, part way down the garden to one side or the other, but I would suggest you have a path made of similar material along the side of the border between your present patio and the new one.
Paving slabs are not cheap, even plain 17cm sq. ones are about a fiver each. So to build a new patio say, 12ft square, plus some more for a path some aggregate for a base, there won't be much change out of about £800.
A lot depends on how long you intend to stay in the house. If it's for the foreseeable future, it would be worth the investment.

Our house is south facing. I built our summerhouse at the bottom of our garden, (it's my avatar), nearly forty years ago, so we can stay out of the sun.

Welcome friend. You have a very special pretty yard and I don't blame you for wanted to be outside in it more often. I would start with some backless benches placed in the Sun on the edge of the lawn. Place them where the Sun will shine under them from the side. Maybe add a few decorative plant containers next to the benchs. Keep it simple and low cost in the beginning and everything will fall into place. Thanks for the post and keep us updated.

Estate sales for outdoor furniture. I have done well got 2 sets of black iron, chairs with table for hundred bucks, just needed a spray can of black outdoor paint. and bought some outdoor cushions.
