Sam Houston Peach Austin TX

Could anyone advise on the approximate time of year a Sam Houston peach might be ready to harvest about 15-miles east of Austin, TX.

Many times the product label is put on the wrong plant, either at the growers or by some shopper at the store. So, it probably isn't a Sam Houston as ripening dates are determined primarily by genetics and secondarily by weather. Three weeks is a long time in peach parlance. You didn't do anything wrong. If I were to guess I would say that the variety is Jersey Queen, an Elberta type peach.
