Hello All!
About 15 years ago, I planted a Norway Maple seed. The tree that grew is now about 6-1/2 feet tall & has a 1-1/2" diameter trunk. We'd like to move it in spring.
My question is if it is too late to root prune so it can be moved in spring. (Time escaped & I forgot in fall.)
Due to a much warmer than usual fall & winter, the ground here in the Detroit, Michigan area is frozen only about 5" deep, so penetrating with a shovel is still easy. Will I harm the tree if I root prune now?
Thanks For Your Advice! It's much appreciated.
