Purple (fungus?) stuff in lawn

Hey Folks,

Googling is failing me on this one. I've noticed quite a few patches of purple in my lawn, it seems quite powdery which is why I was thinking it may be a fungus

It's not been there long - in fact I think maybe even less than 24 hours as I was outside yesterday and didn't spot it, or if it was there, nowhere near as obvious

I think that what you have there is a slime mold, harmless but a tad unsightly

Thanks Chuck! Funnily enough I did come accross that on my research but initially I thought it was only grey...but did look the same.

It does seem to be the case. Next mow will probably deal with it
