We make pumkin bars, which are in the middle of cake and a brownie. They are very good, so you should try them. We always put a cream cheese frosting on ours or add chocolate chips to the batter.

Rosyrain the recipe i was planning to use for this pumpkin cake had a variety of nuts in it; i might just add some chocolate chips to the batter and see how it goes. Should be delicious though.

I have baked a pumpkin pie, one with cream cheese and it was wonderful. Not sure about a pumpkin pie with no cream cheese tho, never tried them, but I've heard they are really good. The color of the pumpkin pie with cream cheese is way nicer than the one that doesn't use the cream cheese.

I make a pumpkin muffin that is really good, it has applesauce and cinnamon in it. I didn't think I would like it but my grandson really likes and wants more, I have to find the directions for it although what the directions say is not always what I do, I like to add infredients that I think will make the final product better.

I'd love to try this. It sounds yummy. I just wonder if my customers want it too if I sell it. :)

Skynel you will never know the outcome until you give it a try; and if it's tasty i can't see why your customers wouldn't like it.

You could try out a little slice of pumpkin cake at your pastry shop; you would be surprise that it's rather tasty.

I am not a fan of pumpkin pie, but my daughter makes a simple spice cake that uses a carrot cake mix and one of the vegetable can size cans of pumpkin. You just mix the cake mix with the pumpkin, put it in the pan and bake. That is all there is to it. I like this cake, so I am sure I would like a regular from scratch cake with pumpkin in it. I also love pumpkin bread and pumpkin cookies.

I love pumpkin cake. I make it all the time with different spices added like nutmeg, cinnamon, almond extract, and etc. For my cake icing, I like using Bailey's Irish Cream cream cheese frosting, I make myself. Every now and then, I make pumpkin pie, adding different spices to give it that delicious taste. When it comes to pumpkin pie, I enjoy it with whipped cream. I can't do without my whipped cream lol! Yum!!!

You don't know what your missing out Kammy? After I have read your post yesterday, I decided to make a pumpkin cake but I added a different twist to it. I added peanut butter into my batter, and made a Peanut Butter Pumpkin Cake. Also, I had an idea to add Coconut Cruzan Rum into my cake batter, and it gave the cake an unique flavor. Adding in the rum into the batter will help preserve the cake much longer but it didn't last a day lol. But this time, I made buttercream frosting instead. It was the bomb!!!!
