Prune flowers

I planted two cantaloupe plants a little less than a month ago. They have grown some, but are definitely not mature yet. They however have quite a few flower buds. Should I prune them now? How do you know when not to prune and allow the plants to flower? Thanks.

I've planted cantaloupe a couple of times and have never pruned any flowers off unless they are to close together for both to mature, then I prune only one blossom off.
