Pre-emergent weed control

Anyone have experience using pre-emergent herbicides for tree seeds? We have Shamel Ash trees that produce hundreds of thousands of seeds, about 40% sprout. If we can prevent them from sprouting and growing it would remove a major headache.

Check out tenacity but past that I have no real help. It is probably aimed at killing your trees not the grass actually. But there are herbicides that do the opposite, kill grass and not the broad leaves. No idea about the product names. Just that they exist and are probably what you are looking for. They are used for shrub beds and such.
