Hello and welcome grace.

Yes they will really be so colourful.

I have also planted cream crocus along side and dwarf daffodils.

And shall see the view from my kitchen window.

This sounds lovely, you'll have a wonderful view from your kitchen window, Scotkat. I especially like dwarf tulips. As for dwarf daffodils, I used to grow them indoors, it was one of my very first plants:)

That does sound beautiful. I bet you can't wait until it's warm enough outside to transplant them. Then, you can enjoy seeing them poke their heads out of the earth year after year. I never tire of seeing my tulips come up every year.

I see the tulips are starting to come up in our area all though it has been really cold. I have never tried to plant bulb plants in the fall so that I can have the plants in the spring. I will plan a trip to the garden center to pick up a few pots to go out front to make it feel like spring is coming.
