Pothos cutting turning brown :(

Hello. I have this cutting that was doing quite alright until a about a few days ago when it started turning brown. I am not sure if the little growth at the bottom is actually a growth or not.

Should I keep this? Will it still grow?

Well, there it is still green around the bud, so don't give up yet, ...but don't get your hopes up either.
In any case, Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is plentiful if you do need to start over with fresh propagules and rooting media.
