I have two Potato plants. One is flowering and the other is not with both being the same variety. Should both flower and if the one never does is it a sign of anything? The look great, tall (I've built up the soil 2x's) nice deep green color, no pests on top that I can see evidence of.

Since they have been planted since late April just wanted to get option on how far they should be by this time in my zone?

How far on depends on variety, weather and soil temp.
Don't worry about flowering, your potatoes look great.
Removing the flowers gives a very slightly better yield.
They are ready when the plants die back.

As far as I know potato plants are easy to grow. If the picture you shared is your own potato plant then it seems perfect to me. Happy gardening!

I have not seen potato flowers before, and they are beautiful! My sister in California tried to plant her purple potato but was not having any success. Have you ever planted purple potato?

Who knew the humble potato had such beautiful flowers!
I planted potatoes this year for the first time in my life - Yukon Gold and All Blue (blue skin and flesh.) They haven't flowered yet though.

my potato flowers are few and nice to look at so I'll take a hit on harvest and leave them be.
