Post season analysis

The sweet peppers didn't do well this season and I decided they were done. Here is what the root system looked like it the pot. You may not be able to see, but it looks like termites in there, or some type of insect. I'm wandering if these contributed to the low yield as compared to my jalapenos, which are still fruiting relentlessly (they just aren't hot).

Can't really see them. My sweet peppers just are big enough. Still have one hanging on a pepper plant A pointy sweet one. On the whole, a lousy year for everything!

Can't see any bugs but what size is the container. Also what is the white stuff? It looks like tricoderma which is a beneficial fungi.

Container I think was 20 gal. Not sure on the white stuff, it did look like a fungus.

The bugs were small and didn't show up real, I tried. I just could not get my phone to focus in on them. It has already been tossed.
