Pool problem, "That sinking feeling"

Greetings wet wet wet fans,
Has any one got any tips / advice ref swimming pool skimmer blockage?

Problem the pool pumps working great, and the end of the pool were the waters pumped into the pool to circulate the clean filtered water is great and blowing water into the pool "no problem"

The opposit end of the pool is the area were two flaps are to take in any water that circulates back to the main pump, and this is were the bleach tablets are placed in the plastic basket to aid the cleaning of the water,
And it's here that the problem is,
I cant feel inside this area any holes etc to take the dead insects etc back to the main pump and filter there, Im wondering if maybe its not a hole that takes the rubbish through, but perhaps slits ?

Any idea's how to clean these two basket area's please, ?

You could try using a robotic pool skimmer to help with the debris buildup in your skimmer baskets. These devices are great for collecting floating leaves and insects before they even reach the skimmer. They can significantly reduce the blockage in the skimmer area by catching debris early on. Also, make sure to check the skimmer baskets regularly and use a hose to flush out any clogs in the slits or small openings.

no details on the original poster made me look at the post a bit closer, it was posted July 2020, a bit over four years ago, how on earth did you manage to dredge that up?

Have you back washed the filter? Sounds like the filter could be clogged?
