Ummm, so a member of my family just came home with two poinsettias, without telling me(the resident gardener). Sooooo, any tips? They are currently in five or six inch foil/paper "pots". Can I keep them in these, or do they need bigger? I want to keep them after the holiday season, and move them outside (and into bigger plastic pots) when it gets warm enough in spring. How much light do they need? Here are pictures:

First off, get any foil wrap off that will hold water and keep the roots soggy. I am in zone 7b and my poinsettias go in the garage after Christmas. I keep the garage at 40f degrees. They look terrible when I take them out in the spring but they perk right up when placed in the sun.

What size pot should I move it into after I take off the foil?
