That ceramic pot must weigh something! I hope the top is robust enough to carry that weight, not to mention the soil and water needed to fill that pot! Rey, make sure you don't walk under it! :eek::LOL::LOL::LOL:

@alp, the rope goes under the pot base as well. I think @Rey is quite safe. This is a nifty idea. I reuse my plastic hanging planters year after year and the thin plastic on the hanger portion gets brittle after a few years and breaks. This solution would certainly put the pots back into their original use.

True, the weight is somewhat supported by 4x the plus some grip on the side, no hard hat for me :D. Anyway this pic was a friend of mine in facebook and this idea will make more room to her crowded place.

Oh Alp, we do, but just don't like to brag about it:D!
I'd be concerned about the mounting to the ceiling or roof beam. It would take a very sturdy hook embedded in the roof/beam to hold the weight of a ceramic pot filled with damp dirt and a plant.
