Pepperoninci pepper seeds

Hoping to start my seeds indoors under a light within the next 3 weeks. First try at this. How much water (1/8 cup??) and how often should they be watered (2 days??) seems like a place to start. Any advice with be appreciated.
New to the forum by the way. Very nice group.

If you intend to grow your peppers conventionally, don't start them in water, the roots will be very fragile and unlikely to survive transplantation.
If you use hydro/aquaponics, then I'll defer to those with far more knowledge than I.

I'm sorry. I must have not used the proper terminology for my planting. I intend to plant the seeds in potting soil in individual small seedling trays in the conventional manor. After initial watering (at planting) , how much and how often should they be watered??
