Peace Plant Leafs Turning Black and Drying Up - Help

I have a new peace plant that has started to have a few of the leafs turn black and dry up. I have checked the amount of sunlight it gets and the watering is good.

What can I do to stop this before I lose too much of the plant, it was a gift for Mom's day.

The articles on peace lilies all say that black leaves on a peace lily mean that the plant is getting too much water. People assume that the black leaves mean that the plant is thirsty ,when in reality the plant is getting sick from too much water. You should cut back on watering a little and empty out the saucer under the plant.
