Hi all,
I recently moved to the Mediterranean where I have a home which has been sitting derelict for over a decade. The neighbours have kindly been watering a jasmine and a rose plant in my garden during these years.
I really need advice on what to do with them and how to prune them.
The garden is north facing, it gets around 3-4 hours of strong sunlight in the evening during summer, but sits in the shade for most of the day and it is always in the shade of the house during winter.
Someone mentioned transplanting the rose to the back garden but it gets so hot here a lot of flowers are prone to getting fried under the blistering heat. The jasmine will have to stay where it is, however I’d still be grateful for some advice on how to deal with the overgrowth as these plants hold a lot of sentimental value.
