Please send in the tank, and tanks are even better, @Mark56 Yes, the geum (most probably Mrs Bradshaw) is quite red. But not from the seeds but reduced.. Flowers are quite small, but quite red and there is this dilemma - a plant with leaves exactly like those of geum is growing right next to an Iris.. I was looking back and forth to compare the leaves - none the wiser.. Will have to wait for the flowers to check. I also have a yellow one, I think.. If you live in town, it would be very silly not to go round next month to look for bargains like this.. Fiddling with seeds with my inhospitable lean to demoralises me.. Messy and the seedlings are not like those @johnny canoe or @Logan ... They are weak, tiny and pathetic.. The secret is to find the hottest and sunniest spot .. , preferably opened-up clay soil. Everything (not ericaceous lovers) bwill thrive including bamboos. I have 8 new shoots from no soil at all, but a tub of bathwater or kitchen water every day... Will upload photos later.. Now to the wild wild west .. if @Logan has replied to my conversation - Mark, I have loaded the Longacre basket again... Just don't know whether to buy them if I am to move.. as that will be 12 items to move with... mama mia!
