Looking for ground cover in an area with some shade and some sunlight, really nice flowers would be great they must attract bees and hopefully birds too.
Maybe something like Zinnias style of flower?
Any that grow about 30cm or shorter? For the Central Queensland coast

Thanks so much guys

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

There are so many possibilities to consider. I'll start with just one idea, to get the ball rolling.

Grevillea x guadichaudii, in the Protea Family (Proteaceae) is a prostrate evergreen shrub with dramatically cut foliage and intriguing red flowers. It's probably mostly pollinated by birds. It's a naturally occurring hybrid of G. acanthifolia and G. laurifolia, native to New South Wales. One of its parents, Grevillea laurifolia would work similarly as a ground cover, as would Grevillea x 'Austraflora fanfare', which is itself a hybrid of G. x gaudichaudii and G. longifolia. Come to think of it, there are many fine groundcover Grevillea. Perhaps plant a mixture of several differnt ones, each with very different leaf shapes and flower colors. Being Austrlaian natives, they should supply good benefits to wildlife
