After quite a bit of neglect my white garden had become quite overgrown with archillea and plecanthras, so much so that my Guardian Angel Rose, given to me by a dear friend during a health issue, was almost suffocated. As you can see it has tried desperately to grow towards the light and is very lanky (half its luck) ! I assume I have to cut it back but as there are buds at the top I'll leave it until it flowers but not sure as to where I should prune as there doesn't appear to be forks to go by. Do you think this plant will come good? I hope I haven't damaged its future through leaving it to its own devices.

Somewhere lower down there are some dormant buds,if you can see them ,at pruning time ,cut to just above.

If you can't see them cut back by half ,buds will still break ,then cut again.

It all needs to be a bit brutal to get the bush back in shape ,then go from there .
