Need Help with Trumpet Vine

Hi All --

New here from Portland, OR.. I've got a Trumpet Vine that grows like a weed and usually flowers like crazy. This year all the flower buds started looking like this. Any idea what wrong with it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Could it be pesticide damage? Looks like something burned off all the flower buds.

No pesticides used on our property, but thanks for the suggestion. It's pretty sad not to have any of the glorious flowers this year...
