Hello!
I’m hoping that someone may be able to identify this squash that’s growing in my backyard. It’s growing on a vine that came over the fence from a neighbors yard. I noticed it about a week ago, and it’s tripled in size since then.

I love to cook, so it would be great if I could figure out what it is, and then I’d have a better idea of when I should harvest it and how I can cook it. I’ve been searching online for days trying to figure out what is is, but I haven’t had any luck so far.

I can't be sure but it looks like either a Cushaw variety or a type of Hubbard. I would wait to pick it until just after your first frost.
