my plants look like they are dying

This happens every year around this time just as things are looking to be a good harvest... the leaves start spotting yellow, I start getting the bone borers in my cucumber and squash plants. What am.I doing wrong? I used blood meal, spray neem oil, pick off the grubs. I LOVE gardening, but I have friends who plant something and it takes off... I ALWAYS seem to have problems. In attaching a couple pics! Someone HELP!!!
