my newly potted bougainvillea appears to be dying

I potted my plant on 30th January, it's been only 10 days but the flowers are drying and the leaves curling and drying. I am water it and it's kept in sunlight but do not know what else to do.

Does your pot have drainage holes? It looks as if it is planted in wet mud. If it does have drainage holes you are watering way too much. Was this a purchased plant or was it dug up and replanted?

Yes it has drainage hole. I bought it from a plant nursery. Yesterday I took it out of the pot and saw that the roots were fine. The soul was also ok, not wet. As it is drying ( flowers and leaves) I thought may be I should water more. The other bougainvellia plant I bought with it is doing fine at present. I have planted it in soil on my terrace garden.

I agree the soil looks very heavy like dirt.

Have you checked for pest on the leaves or stem of the plant?
