I turned my fridge into a miniature herb garden:) Taking care of all these plants gives me a lot of joy!:D

In the first row, you can see parsley, lemon balm and basil. I also have thyme, oregano, mint and lovage.

Most Excellent Claudine (y)

Think the Lovage may need a bigger pot soon, they put down a tap root that'll go right thru the fridge :D

Thank you:D
Haha, I wouldn't want this to happen, I can't afford buying a new fridge:p The lovage is still very small though. It started dying when I bought it. Now, it's slowly coming back to life.

Great idea to have the herbs so handy in the kitchen. So nice to have so fresh and such a variety. I find buying herbs expensive and tend to use up til finished so one week everything tastes like dill, next like parsley etc.

Love your herbs Claudine, but I am not sure what loverage is either. Could you explain what the herb is used for and what it tastes like? I also like the fact that you chose white pots, as they go nice on top of your fridge. Are fridges in European countries really that tiny? Ours here in America are big...the bigger, the better!

They do look so green, fresh and healthy! You don't actually keep them inside the refrigerator do you? I am thinking you're putting them on top of the fridge and the heat from it, keeping them growing?

They look very healthy and nice! I'd actually like to do the same right on top of my fridge, actually that is a very handy place to keep them! So I can pic some fresh herbs when I cook.

Thank you all:) My fridge is really small, because we couldn't afford buying a bigger one:p I'm quite happy with it, because at least I have a lot of space for my herbs on the top of it.
And no, I don't grow any herbs inside of it;)
Lovage is said to be an aphrodisiac, it tastes like Maggi soup seasoning.

I sometimes wish we had a smaller fridge. Less chance of keeping things past their prime!

In North America you can get a fridge in various sizes, actually. Good luck with your indoor herbs @claudine! I started out with a few plants on the windowsill in late summer/early fall a few years ago, but didn't get much growth until I brought them outside in the spring.

Haha, that's so true! Having a very small fridge has its perks;)

ChanellG- thank you. My herbs are doing fine indoors:D Unfortunately, I can't bring them outside since I don't have a garden.
