Dear gardeners,
Being a linguist, I notice that gardeners often use metaphors when they proudly speak about their gardening victories or share some failures.
If it does not take up much of your time, will you share your gardening metaphors about your plants and gardens.
My collection counts several metaphors. For example:
'The rose is the queen of the garden / of all flowers'.
'In the spring, plants awaken and sing their dazzling song'.
'Autumn trees are the stars in my November garden'.
'These fabulous plants will bring your garden alive with colour and drama.'
Could you add anything to this list? What do you compare your plants with?
