I was watering the garden with some compost tea this morning, and when I was walking back to the house I found George waiting for me. He had formed a perfect line with his balls (the playing kind), and I couldn't resist and had to take a picture before kicking the balls :)

Try shutting the wife and the dog in the back of the car for half an hour, then see which one is pleased to see you when you open it

It's not gonna be the wife, I can tell you that

We (wives) have to be bossy because we know better and to protect you guys from getting hurt.:p
I met my wife at 36.
I had never been married before, but I somehow managed to survive, relatively unscathed, to 36.
The instruction I take on the simplest tasks would frustrate a backward 4-y-o.
Still, that instinct for self-preservation remains. I say, "Yes, dear,"

I do pester my husband once in awhile to be a little more active. Manning the remote 24/7 is not heart healthy.

I don't ask him to help me with anything. I single handed put together my greenhouses and cold frames. I do all of my own construction, electric, solar, irrigation. I installed our surveillance systems and all sorts of fun projects and really enjoyed learning new things. If I made him do it, I would have missed out on the best parts of life!

Friends of mine had a dog that would "pull weeds" and set them in a neat little pile. Problem was she couldn't tell the difference between a weed and a seedling so they had to keep her out of the garden.

That is a very good job on your dog's part. Perhaps he wanted to impress you knowing that you would be coming out to do some watering. Animals amaze me with what they are capable of doing.

Thanks, Rosyrain. George is actually obsessed with balls, and he gets depressed if we don't play with him at least 10 times a day. He always has one around or he feels lost.
