My bush is slowly drying out

Hello,

I have this big bush in a house in the Portugal which looked amazing when we bought the house. We don’t know how to look after it, and it’s slowly becoming more twigs than leaves. It’s in the south of Portugal, Algarve which is a hot Mediterranean climate.
I am not even sure what it’s called. Plant apps say that it’s a Mousehole Tree, but to me it looks more
Like a bush. I hope I can post photos here, to show.

Tree/shrub is in the eye of the beholder and style of pruning. I would go with Myoporum laetum as well. Hold a leaf up to the sun and if you can see dots that aren't visible otherwise, you have confirmation. These grow really well here as long as they get at least a little supplemental irrigation. You could also try some all-purpose fertilizer.
