My grandma's neighbor has a mountain ash (Sorbus). I don't know the exact specie. It may be Sorbus americana or Sorbus aucuparia.
I've always liked how it looks and was wondering if I could get it to grow from cuttings. I don't have much experience in growing cuttings. I've grown lavender and Kalm's St. John's Wort from cuttings just by sticking them into potting soil, but other than that, I don't know anything. Would cutting off small branches work, or would it be better just waiting for the berries to ripen to collect seeds?
