I'm confused, are moong beans the same as mung beans? They look different.
I often grow mung bean sprouts, they're super delicious and very healthy:)

Oh, I understand now:) I'm a very impatient person who loves sprouts, so I always eat them when they're tiny:) I can't stop myself!
But I'm very curious what their leaves taste like.

Thanks Disha. I didn't recognise the mung leaves as I've only seen them sprouted. I'd like to try the leaves now as you said they are delicious and I'm sure they'd be great in a salad.... a strong distinctive flavour like basil has such a unique aroma and flavour.

It really does grow fast!:) I put some seeds in my sprouter a day before yesterday and now they're ready to be eaten:) I think I'll spare one or two, and let them grow, because I want to taste the leaves:)

We call that mung bean sprouts. It is easy to grow it but what the heck, it is very cheap in the market so we don't bother much in growing it although sometimes we grow it for the children to see. One dish that we love is the spring roll. After the sprouts were sauteed with garlic, onion and bits of pork, the dish is wrapped in rice paper and fried. That's the spring roll that we have here.

The spring roll sounds like a really tasty treat! I'd skip the pork, because I'm a vegetarian, but the rest of those ingredients are really delicious. I'll definitely try to make a spring roll:)
