This is a picture from 2014 September when we had by that time, good monsoon rains. The garden was lovely looking in the early stages of monsoon and I had planted zinnias in a bed. Then mildew affected these. The plants wilted and looked ugly. I pulled them away dejected. Organic gardeners like me wont mind losing plants as we do not want to poison the earth with inorganic methods just to protect plants while organic, 'greener' alternatives may be available. I later heard from a friend in Mexico that spraying milk can help control mildew. But it was too late to experiment. Last year I did not sow zinnia. This year I want to, and try milk if that happens again. Has anyone tried the milk remedy on mildewed leaves?
