Hello Team,

My neighbor moved out of our building and left me with two plants. They are in much worse condition since I took possession. This is nothing new for me. I have murdered plants my entire life across multiple states and time zones. This has to stop! Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

The first photo shows Narrow-leaved Dragon tree (Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia, formerly D. marginata), native to Madagascar. The second shows Corn-plant (Dracaena fragrans), native to tropical Africa. Both plants are in the Butcher-broom Family (Ruscaceae, or alternatively Nolinoideae, Asparagaceae).

Both plants will want similar care. The should receive part sun or bright, indirect light. Soil should be well drained and plants irrigated regularly. Let the soil partly dry before the next irrigation. Check that the soil and container drain properly.
Do not let the plants sit in a flooded saucer. Fertilize monthly with a complete, liquid fertilizer.
