You don't have to water every day. Gently tip the plant out of the container and look and feel the roots. If it's mushy and wet let the soil dry more between waterings. When the flowers wither you can remove or deadhead them. Marigolds require moderate watering, with even moisture in the soil but avoid waterlogging.

Marigolds need at least 6 hrs of direct sunlight per day to thrive. They grow best in full sun but can tolerate some shade. Please keep them in a bright Sunny place to keep them flowering.

ty for your reply..
i read everywhere you dont need to water marigold daily and can do ever 2 days but in my case
if i water in the morning at aroun 9am ..i see the soil dry at around 3-4pm..atleast if i touch top part ..sometimes even if i insert finger a inch in soil
so should i water them twice or once is more than enough? or still i can water every alternate day?
sorry i am a nube so my question is like that... bit confused?

If you have to water every day then it's time to up-pot into a slightly larger pot. Get some new quality potting soil and up-pot into a slightly larger pot. Increase the container size by only 2 inches or 5c to keep from over-watering. Marigolds only last one year in good growing conditions.
